About Tarbh Tech
"We only take on clients whose outcomes we can stand behind."
We don't take on work where we can't make a real difference. Every client gets the full weight of our capability – not a diluted version of a service designed for someone else.
Our Story
Tarbh Tech was founded in 2018 with a straightforward premise: the security practices that protect large organisations should be accessible to smaller ones too. Too many Irish SMEs were left choosing between enterprise vendors who didn't understand their scale and generalist IT providers who couldn't deliver real security outcomes.
The COSAINT COSAINT (kuh-SAHNT): Protection (Irish). The name of our managed service tiers. model is our answer. Five service tiers – from entry-level security to full strategic partnership – each built on the same engineered baseline. Published pricing, a published SLA, and published security metrics. Published scope, no vague promises, no "it depends." If we can't show you the numbers, we haven't earned the right to ask for your business.
Today we serve clients across Ireland, France, and beyond – in manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, professional services, retail, and technology. Every engagement starts with the same security foundation, and every client gets the same operational rigour, regardless of tier.

Meet the Founder
Jonathan Bourke studied Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Limerick, but got pulled into IT during his college years and never looked back. It turned out to be a good detour.
His career took him across multiple continents – from Ireland to India, the US (with ACS Inc.), and eventually Australia, where he spent over a decade in enterprise IT including a long stretch with the NSW Department of Education. He went on to serve as Technical Director at iQ3, a Sydney-based secure cloud services firm he helped grow to a team of around 60 people and over AUD $25 million in annual revenue before its acquisition by ASX-listed Tesserent in 2020.
He brought that experience home to Ireland in 2018, founding Tarbh Tech with a straightforward premise: the security practices that protect large organisations should be accessible to smaller ones too. Jonathan leads client engagements and technical strategy, with a particular focus on Microsoft 365 security, Azure infrastructure, and helping Irish SMEs in regulated industries close the gap between where their security posture is and where it needs to be.
He holds a stack of current Microsoft security certifications – SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, MS-500, and AZ-500 – and yes, an MCSE from back when that meant something.
When he's not deep in a Conditional Access policy or a KQL query, he's probably arguing about rugby, making pizza, or optimising his home solar setup to an unreasonable degree.
Certifications
Current Microsoft security certifications – because credentials should be verifiable, not just claimed.
By the Numbers
We publish our operating metrics because accountability is not optional.

A real pleasure to work with. The team always had the details ready and if we ever needed more, they were always available to answer or get the answers immediately. A great sense of humour which enabled us to have fun with our jobs, and I think a healthy environment is key to success.

The work was of the highest standard. The team impressed from the very outset with their ideas, aptitude and diligent approach to tasks and projects. In terms of automation engineering, they ticked all the boxes and more and met every requirement asked of them. They also gave excellent contributions outside of their specific role and built up strong relationships with team members and other IT colleagues in the relatively short time they were here, with excellent contributions well beyond the brief. If I could persuade them that the weather here is as nice as Sydney, I'd have them back on the team in a second.
