Server Management FAQ

Do I need a COSAINT base tier to use Server Management?
Yes. Server Management is an add-on that requires any COSAINT base tier (Cyber, Essentials, Managed, Complete, or Strategic). The server add-on extends your base tier with per-server infrastructure management.
Can I mix server tiers?
Yes. You can assign different server tiers to different servers based on their criticality. A development server might be on Server Core, while your production SQL server is on Server Protected with the SQL backup step-up.
What about on-premises servers?
Azure Arc enables management of on-premises and hybrid servers through the same tools as cloud-native Azure VMs. Your on-premises servers get the same monitoring, security, backup, and DR capabilities as your Azure servers.
