COSAINT Essentials FAQ
Why no Intune device management?
COSAINT Essentials is designed for cloud-first organisations that manage their own devices. If you need Intune MDM/MAM, desktop Office apps, and device lifecycle management, COSAINT Managed includes all of that with M365 Business Premium licensing.
What is the difference between Essentials and Managed?
Essentials provides M365 Business Basic (web/mobile apps only), identity security (Entra P1), and email protection (MDO P1). Managed adds M365 Business Premium (desktop apps, Intune), device management, 1Password, CodeTwo signatures, and product support helpdesk. Choose Essentials if you handle devices yourself; choose Managed if you want full platform management.
Is end-user helpdesk included?
No. COSAINT Essentials provides managed security and M365 administration, but your organisation provides its own end-user device support and helpdesk. If you need helpdesk support, see COSAINT Complete which includes full end-user helpdesk for all users and all issues.
What M365 apps do users get?
COSAINT Essentials includes M365 Business Basic, which provides web and mobile versions of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. It does not include desktop Office apps. If your team needs desktop apps, COSAINT Managed includes M365 Business Premium.
