Microsoft 365 FAQ

Is Microsoft 365 licensing included?
From COSAINT Essentials upward, yes. Essentials includes M365 Business Basic (web apps, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint). From Managed upward, you get M365 Business Premium (full desktop apps plus Intune, MDE P1, and more). COSAINT Cyber is a security overlay – you keep your own M365 licences.
Can you manage our existing M365 tenant?
Yes. During the first 90 days, we audit your existing tenant, configure security baselines, and take over administration. We work with your current setup – no need to migrate to a new tenant. If your tenant needs significant cleanup, we scope that as part of onboarding.
What is the difference between Essentials and Managed for M365?
COSAINT Essentials includes M365 Business Basic (web apps only, no desktop Office), Entra P1, and MDO P1. It is cloud-only with no device management. COSAINT Managed upgrades to M365 Business Premium (full desktop apps), adds Intune for device management, MDE P1 for endpoint security, 1Password, CodeTwo signatures, and ScreenConnect. If your team needs desktop apps and managed devices, Managed is the right tier.
What does domain hardening involve?
Domain hardening means configuring your email domain records to prevent attackers from sending emails that look like they come from your domain. We set up SPF (which servers can send email), DKIM (email signing), and DMARC (policy enforcement). These protect your reputation and your recipients.
What if we have licences we want to keep?
COSAINT Cyber is designed exactly for this. You keep your own M365 licences, and we add security monitoring and email protection on top. If you later want us to take over licensing, you can upgrade to Essentials or Managed and we transition smoothly via CSP.
